Integra LifeSciences

Project Revere

Project Description

The Integra LifeSciences Braintree facility exemplifies construction excellence through its complexity, innovation, and impact. DECCO, in partnership with Suffolk Construction, executed a transformative buildout of a 114,219 SF space into a state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing facility. The project required precision installation of ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms, structural upgrades, and a 17,667 SF elevated mechanical platform—all while meeting stringent FDA and EU cGMP standards.

Designed to support the production of PriMatrix® and SurgiMend®, the facility demanded highly specialized environments for processing collagen matrices derived from bovine dermis. The project overcame significant logistical and regulatory challenges, consolidating operations from Boston to Braintree with minimal timeline impact and reduced execution risk.

DECCO scope included comprehensive process utility and mechanical installations for Project Revere. The scope included USP Purified Water generation and distribution systems, featuring a pump station with heat exchanger and deicing capabilities. DECCO also installed a pH neutralization system, lyophilization skid, and clean compressed air and instrument air distribution headers. Additional work involved compressed air pressure regulation and filtration stations, air compressors with dryers and receiver tanks, and a low-concentration chloroform holding tank. These systems were seamlessly integrated to meet rigorous cleanroom and pharmaceutical standards.

Most notably, DECCO completed this complex scope with zero safety incidents, reflecting an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration.
